Mike Clancy, Prospect general secretary, said: “The theme for the week is ‘Let’s talk Prospect’, and we’re inviting all our members to do just that.
“Please help us to make it a success by talking to your colleagues about why being a Prospect member is important to you and ask them if they would be interested in joining the union.
“Get along to an event if you can and take a non-member with you. More members means that we can have a stronger voice in the workplace.”
Get involved
Find out what’s happening in your local area by contacting your workplace representative, emailing [email protected] or visiting our Facebook page. If you aren’t based in an office, we also have three Facebook Live events on Public Service Pay, Brexit and Pensions. Workplace events range from lunchtime cupcakes to bowling nights and legal rights briefing sessions to pension meetings.
Follow and use the hashtag #talkProspect on Facebook and Twitter to keep up to date with what is happening in your area, and to share what you’re doing with other members.
Subscription offers
“Each event will aim to get members and non-members talking and encourage recruitment through our range of discounted subscription offers,” said Clancy.
For every new member you recruit, you can choose from a range of £10 vouchers in Prospect’s member recruit member scheme (www.prospect.org.uk/mrm).
“And if your colleagues need any further incentive to sign up, we’re pleased to announce a special offer of free membership for the first three months for new members who join during Union Week,” said Clancy.
