Prospect reps at the National Gallery have negotiated a 3% increase on basic pay for all eligible employees from 1 April.

Employees who are at the top of their bands will also receive a non-consolidated payment of 1%; this includes people in pay protection. The minimum increase for those on the max will be £500.

Staff will also receive a one-off, non-consolidated payment of £150 per person in November to recognise their contributions to the organisation.

Executive directors will receive 1.5% – enabling the Gallery to focus its limited resources on the lower paid.

New employees will receive the new rate except where they are at the bottom of a band when the deal is implemented.

The Gallery has confirmed that the increase and back pay to 1 April will be applied in September salaries.
