Prospect national officer David Luxton said:
"The decision to resume the action at the Clyde reflects the anger of members at being forcibly coerced into the private sector. However, Prospect and PCS members recognise the unprecedented commitments that have been secured from the Minister and the dockyard company.
"We need to build on that success and look to staff being seconded by MOD rather than TUPE transferred. Secondment will retain their status as MOD civil servants and therefore ensure their skills remain available to the Royal Navy."
Prospect and PCS are now seeking urgent talks with senior MOD officials to gain further guarantees for staff.
