The proposals would have an impact on the terms and conditions of Connect Sector employees who transferred in from BT in 2009.

We understand that individuals have already received letters from the authority along with the summary of main changes and that feedback has been sought by the employer.

To enable Prospect to represent members in this process we will be visiting Chelmsford, County Hall on 14 October 2010, and will be available to meet members in room A2.01 from midday to 2pm.

We would welcome the opportunity to discuss the proposals with members to assist, on a confidential basis to enable us to reflect those views back to Essex County Council during the consultation process.
