Prospect were informed this morning of Yell's intention to further reduce headcount.



Prospect were informed this morning of Yell's intention to further reduce headcount across Yell Corporate and to close Yell Pension Plan (sections 1, 2 and 3) to future accruals on the 31st March 2011.

Prospect understand absolutely the very serious concerns members will have about these proposals and have arranged an urgent meeting with the company - on Thursday of this week, the 14th October - to gain a better understanding of the context to these proposals, the potential impact on Prospect members and the timescales in which consultation on them will take place.

We will communicate further details with you as soon as possible after this meeting has taken place and will be arranging an urgent meeting of all members to discuss the proposals in detail.
