BT Events for Comic Relief

Comic Relief Red Nose Day (Friday 18 March) is approaching, for interested members in BT there is still time to get involved in fundraising activity.

BT's support for Comic Relief - a UK charity raising funds to support projects in the UK and across the world - is one of the company's leading corporate social responsibility (CSR) programmes. BT has supported Comic Relief since 1985 providing telephony, call centres, network management, online support and thousands of volunteer hours - enabling the charity to take millions of pounds in donations and pledges during Red Nose Day and Sport Relief telethons.

If you are available you might consider volunteering to take calls during the Comic Relief telethon on the18th March. Eight BT contact centres are opening their doors, with Blackburn, Cardiff, Doncaster, Glasgow, Newcastle, Sheffield and Warrington still looking for volunteers. If you'd like to help (it doesn't matter what line of business you're in), please register via the BT intranet at: http://formwize.intra.bt.com/19594.

Other employee fundraisers include 'Get the hump' - a spoof spin-off of the BT-sponsored Red Nose Desert Trek in Kenya. Two comic camels - complete with money saddlebags - are visiting as many BT UK sites as possible between now and 18 March to raise funds.

All the ways you can get involved are detailed on the BT Comic Relief intranet site - http://comicrelief.intra.bt.com. You can let the BT Comic Relief team know how you're raising a smile - and valuable funds - for this year's Comic Relief.
