Wildlife garden campaign goes public

NHM Branch are ramping up their campaign to save the iconic wildlife garden from management’s proposals to re-develop the museum grounds.

An on-line petition has been launched and leaflets handed to visitors to the museum. As the museum opened a short public exhibition on the grounds development project, Prospect members and HQ staff handed out leaflets to visitors to the museum on 23 September.

The leaflet alerted visitors to the threat to the museum’s living exhibition of biodiversity and practical conservation. It also encouraged them to sign the petition: bit.ly/saveNHMwildlife

Prospect continue to urge NHM senior management to listen to the concerns of staff and now the many members of the public who are posting comments on the petition. There is still time to avoid the destruction of the existing wildlife garden.
