Garry Graham, Prospect deputy general secretary, said:

“MPs are entirely right that it is deeply unfair for them to get a 2.7% pay rises while their staff are stuck with a rise of just 1.5%.  

"Presumably they must also be outraged that thousands of civil servants, who serve this government, have been subject to 1.5% or less – anything else would be rank hypocrisy.”
